Dr. Bassett's Story

To encourage smokers not to give up on quitting, DCF collaborated closely with NYC Health Commissioner Mary Bassett, a former smoker, on a campaign where she shares her personal struggle with the deadly habit and the satisfaction of quitting. This campaign marked the first time a City Health Commissioner has appeared in an anti-smoking ad.
