Problem: Public opinion research shows that New Yorkers want to get involved in local politics, but don’t know voting affects their day-to-day life. So how do we educate and rally residents to vote in the 2017 New York City municipal elections?
Our Impact: We created a print, video and social campaign with diverse New Yorkers highlighting their biggest regional issues and why their vote matters. Through direct messaging and clean, simple design, we drummed up publicity for the city’s Voter Guide and encouraged residents to visit voting.nyc, a microsite answering important questions about the elections. Each piece was translated into Spanish, Chinese, Korean and Bengali.
